The Community Council of Kalo Chorio of Larnaca, aiming at the development of the community and the improvement of its residents’ quality of life, has effectuated a series of projects including the following:

• 1991:  Inauguration of the Primary School new building.
• 1994-95:  Construction of the Community Council and Community Park building, where a statue of Gregoris Afxentiou was placed.
• 2003: Street Naming. More specifically, the streets of the refugee housings were named after the occupied cities and villages, whereas the remaining streets were named after Saints.  
• 2006:  Inauguration of the State and Community Nursery School

Other projects:

• Improvement of roads and construction of pavements.
• Maintenance of the old church of Agios Vasileios.
• Maintenance of the mosque located at the square of the community.
• Renovation of the Turkish-Cypriot school.
• Construction of an amphitheatre with a park, sports fields and stores.
