Kalo Chorio of Larnaca has proceeded with the twinning of the village with the Municipality of Voula, this way establishing a close cooperation. The aims and expectation behind the twinning of the Municipality of Voula with Kalo Chorio are revealed by the Twinning Oath which is presented below. The Oath has been signed by the prime movers of the twinning, the president of the Community Council of Kalo Chorio, Mr. Kyriakos Antzoulis, and the mayor of Voula Attikis, Mr. Georgios Mantesis.  

The first part of the twinning ceremony was held on May 2nd 2008 at Kalo Chorio of Larnaca, whereas the second part on October 2nd 2008 at the Municipality of Voula. During the first part of the twinning ceremony a plaque, which was dedicated to the twinning and placed outside the Community Council hall, was unveiled. 

The twinning of Kalo Chorio of Larnaca with the Municipality of Voula was decided after children from the Primary School of Kalo Chorio of Larnaca and children from the 3rd Primary School of Voula cooperated within the line of the intergovernmental programme about the environment called "Golden-green Leave (Chrysoprasino Fyllo)". As it was distinctively mentioned by the teachers of Kalo Chorio of Larnaca Savvas Constantinou, Marios Charalampous and Maria Philippou, the idea for the twinning was    "born" in April 2007 when the Mayor of Voula, Mr. Mantesis, accompanied the delegation of the 3rd Primary School of Voula to Cyprus for the completion of the aforementioned programme.
